Google was launched its UPI - Payments app last month. This app allows you to securely pay both online and offline and also do person to person transactions. Google had been collaboratively working with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to build this app.
In this article, I will be telling you What is Tez App and how you can use it for doing payments.
As in BHIM, Tez App users can also transfer money to others with their account numbers and IFSC codes. At present, It only supports 55 Indian Banks like ICICI Bank, State Bank of India and HDFC Bank.
Step 1 : Download and Install the app from Play Store. This app's size is about 8MB.
Step 2 : At first, user have to select it's native language, from a list of all Indian Languages.
Step 3 : Once done, you have to now provide a mobile number same as used in your bank account. Also, this app links this to the Google account signed the phone.
Step 4 : After that, you need to select a bank from the given list for linking it for UPI Transactions. If you have already linked your bank account for UPI Transactions then it will simply ask you for your existing UPI Pin, If not, the app will navigate you to get it done.
Step 5 : When you're about to make payments, you'll need to tap on the recipient from the list of users using Tez App. You can also add recipients using their bank account numbers and IFSC codes to transfer money or send money via a UPI ID, QR code, or phone number.
